Questions. Answered.
Clear information should be easy to find. Here are answers about membership, medication, and the online care process.
Membership
What does my Ankario membership include?
Membership details can vary by treatment. Ankario provides access to an online intake and an independent provider review when applicable. For the current inclusions for a specific treatment, email support@ankario.com before you begin.
Does Ankario accept insurance?
Ankario is a cash-pay service and does not bill insurance for the services offered through the platform. If you have a question about the cost for a specific treatment, email support@ankario.com before you begin.
How do I ask about canceling or changing my subscription?
Email support@ankario.com for the current cancellation and subscription-change terms that apply to your plan. The support team can explain the terms and next steps.
Medication
What medications does Ankario offer?
Ankario's current Weight Loss offering is focused on semaglutide and tirzepatide. Both require a prescription, and completing an intake does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued. Email support@ankario.com to confirm current availability and formulation details before you begin.
Is a prescription required?
A prescription is required for prescription medication. An independent licensed healthcare provider reviews the information you submit and decides whether treatment is appropriate. Ankario does not make that clinical decision.
Who reviews my case and makes a prescribing decision?
An independent licensed healthcare provider working through a Medical Group connected to the platform reviews your information and makes any prescribing decision. Ankario provides technology and does not direct clinical care or issue prescriptions.
What are the possible side effects?
GLP-1 medications can cause side effects, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and decreased appetite. This is not a complete list. Review the medication's full prescribing information and discuss questions with a healthcare professional. If you experience a serious reaction or medical emergency, call 911.
Where can I get information about pharmacy fulfillment or delivery?
Fulfillment arrangements and delivery details can vary by prescription and treatment. For current information about a specific order, email support@ankario.com.
Can I use a different pharmacy?
Pharmacy choice and prescription-transfer options depend on the prescription and the applicable fulfillment arrangements. Email support@ankario.com to ask what options are available for your order.
Process
How does the whole thing work?
You begin with an online health intake. An independent licensed healthcare provider reviews the information you submit and decides whether treatment is appropriate. If a prescription is issued, the fulfillment details for that treatment will be provided to you.
Will my care require an appointment?
Appointment requirements can vary based on your clinical needs, applicable rules, and the reviewing provider's judgment. A provider may request additional information or an appointment. For general process questions before you begin, email support@ankario.com.
What if I have an urgent medical question or need to reach my care team?
Ankario support is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Follow the contact instructions provided by your care team for non-emergency clinical questions. For account or technical help, email support@ankario.com.
Important: If you are experiencing a life-threatening situation or contemplating suicide, call 911 or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.
What personal information do I need to provide?
You will be asked for information relevant to your health intake and order. Please provide complete and accurate information so the reviewing provider can make an informed clinical decision. See the site's privacy notices for details about how information is handled.
How do I update my account or ask about my subscription?
Email support@ankario.com for help with account information or subscription questions. The support team can explain the options currently available for your plan.
Where can I learn how my information is handled?
Ankario's Privacy Policy, HIPAA Notice, and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain how information is collected, used, and disclosed. You can find those notices in the site footer or email support@ankario.com with a privacy question.
Prescription required
GLP-1 medications are prescription-only. A licensed healthcare provider must review your health intake assessment before any prescription is issued. Prescription issuance is not guaranteed and is solely at the discretion of the reviewing provider based on your individual health history and clinical criteria.
